The time is NOW to truly make a long lasting change. Stop wasting your time going into the gym with no set routine. TFM 2.0 will guide you every step of the way to becoming the most well rounded athlete possible. If you’re ready to truly change the way you train, challenge yourself in the process, and come out on the other end a beast, then let’s get to work!

Like The Functional Method 1.0, I specifically designed this program to deliver amazing results while building the body up rather than tearing it down. Each week will build off of the previous week with systematic progressive overload and proper movement progressions.

Every workout will have a detailed warm up, main workout, and cool down to make sure you’re training with intention and purpose.

INCREASED

Increased work volume: in 1.0 we build a solid foundation. In 2.0, the sets will increase as well as the overall workout volume, to take your training to the next level.

NEW movements / More advanced movement patterns: We take it up a notch in 2.0 with new exercises and workouts as well as more advanced movement patterns to build upon the strong foundation we built in 1.0.

HEAVIER

Heavy lifting for strength: 1.0 consisted of rep ranges that focused on building muscle and endurance. That will certainly continue in 2.0 but we will also be adding heavier lifting in lower rep ranges to build raw functional strength.

There will be NEW warm ups and cool downs, NEW kettlebell complexes, NEW upper body push/pull workouts, NEW leg workouts, and NEW cardio/core/mobility workouts!

Just finished 2.0. Like 1.0, 2.0 is bitchin’ and just what I’ve been looking for! Everything from the videos, the programming itself and having a platform that you can progress through and check each day off the list as you go. I’m a list guy, so for me, checking things off that list is essential. I love how Jay programs via progression. Something you thought you’d never be able to do, therefore never work on, sure enough is eventually another thing to check off the list. Great balance between, heavy lifts, core, KB complexes, body weight exercises and mobility. I like they way Jay stresses as heavy as possible with perfect form and while there are metcons programmed, “for time” is never stressed, just go as heavy as you can go with perfect form and keep moving. *Your gym or crossfit box will need to have a squat rack, a bench, barbells with weight plates, a range of kettlebells and dumbbells.

**For bodyweight movements you will need things like pull-up bars, dip bars, gymnastic rings or TRX, parallettes and plyo boxes.

***For cardio you’ll need access to something like a rowing machine, stationary bike, treadmill or form runner. 

You will also need small pieces of accessory equipment like mini bands, pull-up bands, jump rope, medicine balls, a foam roller etc.

FAQ

Yes, once you purchase you will have lifetimes access to the program and all other content that comes with it. You will be able to access your content as long as you have a device that connects to wifi.

Technically you don’t have to. However, each program builds off the previous program and you will ultimately get more out of the programs if you do them in order.

The Functional Method 2.0 program is meant for Intermediate and Advanced gym goers. You must be comfortable with technique in the gym, reading programs, and pushing yourself during workouts. 

Depending on the days, the workouts range from 60-75 minutes, while mobility takes less time. You can expect to be in the gym for less than 75 minutes if you follow our rest periods.

Absolutely! We have had women do this program as well, it just depends on where you are at fitness and experience wise. Definitely give it a go if you want a good challenge!

The training schedule for this program is 6 days a week total. Of those 6 days, 2 are active recovery to help you prepare for the next.
